This is an example of coffee getting better as you get closer to civilization and yet still missing the mark. A natural Ethiopian you'd expect to be nice and fruity but just was mildly unpleasant instead. If that missing inherent fruitiness was a green defect, roasted out or just a poorly dialed in V60 I cannot say but I definitely think the cafe lacks attention to detail when they are serving coffee in cups rimmed with grinds and fuzziness.
The best coffee in town... probably the best coffee for miles. Set in an industrial estate - don't let the location fool you - this the place to get wonderfully caffeinated. Good prices are a bonus.
Well worth a visit. The food (granola, omelette and coconut/banana bread) was delicious, couldn't fault it. The service was very friendly. Just docking one star because the coffee was so slow to come out (we had already finished our food) and we got a double-shot despite requesting a single-shot.
Oh. My. Goodness!! Best breakfast Ive had in months! The coffee was fantastic, espresso shot pulled perfectly with a nice selection of beans to choose from. I had the two egg breakfast with smoked Salomon and wow, it was wonderful. Everything tasted fresh, eggs were cooked perfectly, bread was thick, and the serving was hefty! On top of the, the staff was so friendly and welcoming. I wish I could take the entire establishment and its workers home with me! Thank you for such a wonderful experience on my travels!
Hidden gem in Apollo Bay. Definitely must if you like a good coffee. We have visited the place as part of our Great Ocean Road trip when we found out about the place from the local info kiosk. Definitely worth stopping - excellent coffee and even better raspberry muffin. We also bought some beans to take with us - eager to test!
