Kayaking through the waves, being able to see over 150 seals inhabiting at the main reef, swimming next to you. Thanks to the young handsome boy Billy for giving us a good commentary and tour. Worth a visit if you're coming to Apollo Bay!
We came down on Tuesday and paid for the seal kayak for Wednesday. This was cancelled as well as Thursday due to the weather conditions which we totally understood. A discussion with Mark was had about keeping us on the list until we left Friday. We said we could do Friday morning, so Im unsure why when WE called to confirm on Friday he said he had no one on a list so hadnt rostered anyone on. I was confused as we were still on it from Wednesday. I thought our communication was clear and disappointed about the outcome as we could have organised alternatives. They need to review their booking procedures in future and when going into the shop for our refund not be told it was the weather again when clearly it wasnt.
Great staff for my surf lesson
Seal tour was a definite highlight of our trip. Saw heaps of seals and did some surfing on the kayaks.Our guide Alex was very helpful and freindly. He also gave some great recommendations for other things to do around Apollo Bay.
Got to do the seal kayaking tour, so many seals to see, right near your kayak. Really fun and easy kayak trip, just a few hundred meters from the shore in gentle ocean. So worth it!
